The Student Application

Start your journey by completing the initial online application. This is your chance to share your academic goals, leadership potential, and why you’re ready to become a Minds Matter Scholar.

Coordinate Your Supporters

Once you submit, our system automatically emails your parent/guardian (for income verification) and your school counselor (for transcripts and an academic reference). Please notify them in advance to ensure they are looking for these time-sensitive requests.

Interview & Final Review

After all forms, including an optional second reference, are received, qualified applicants will be invited for an interview. This is the final step to demonstrate your motivation and maturity before selections are finalized.

Are You Ready to Be a Scholar?

We are looking for motivated sophomores who are ready to embrace a rigorous commitment to their future. To be eligible for the Class of 2029, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Academic Standing: Be a member of the Class of 2029 (Sophomore) with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
College Bound: Demonstrate a strong desire and commitment to pursuing a four-year college education.
Saturday Commitment: Available to attend sessions in Philadelphia from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. throughout the school year.
Summer Enrichment: Ready to participate in fully funded, multi-week residential programs on college campuses.
Character & Drive: Exhibit strong academic potential, motivation, maturity, and personal responsibility.
Financial Need: Come from a family with demonstrated financial need (typically following federal income eligibility guidelines).
