Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.
Minds Matter is a four-year mentoring program that begins in students’ freshman year of high school. Minds Matter offers its students a combination of individualized mentor support and group tutoring that provides students with the resources, information and guidance they need to gain admission to, enroll in and graduate from four-year colleges.
Over the course of four years, Minds Matter provides over 160 hours of in-person tutoring in math, writing, critical thinking and standardized test preparation
Minds Matter provides each student with two dedicated college-educated mentors that provide over 150 hours of in-class support to their mentee
Minds Matter allows students to attend two prestigious college summer programs at no cost to the family
Since 2011, Minds Matter of Philadelphia has served more than 150 Philadelphia high school students.
Each year 100% of our students are accepted to a four-year college or university
Minds Matter students have consistently seen increases in their standardized test scores
